Job Description
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safe and efficient material movement, performing pre‑use equipment inspections, loading and unloading products, and ensuring accurate, damage‑free shipments while coordinating closely with supervisors and production teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or vocational certificate in plant operation or a related field
- • Minimum of 2 years proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing environment
- • Strong understanding of forklift maintenance and pre‑use inspection procedures
- • Good communication skills and ability to work safely under pressure
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Conduct pre‑use inspections of forklifts and update maintenance records
- • Operate forklifts in accordance with site safety protocols and operational requirements
- • Keep forklifts clean and free from oil leaks
- • Verify inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and damage, reporting any issues immediately
- • Communicate effectively with supervisors and operators to handle material transfers
- • Load and unload products and materials within designated areas, including production lines and warehouses
- • Transport materials to production teams as directed by the Production Supervisor/Manager
