Job Description
The Social Media and Content Lead will own the brand’s digital presence, managing content calendars and creating engaging visual assets for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. The role involves community interaction, influencer collaborations and performance reporting to drive audience growth and conversions. Candidates should have 2‑3 years of experience, a relevant degree, and strong storytelling, photography and video production skills. Staying abreast of beauty trends and platform algorithms is essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
- • 2–3 years of experience managing social media and content for brands.
- • Proven ability to create and schedule engaging content across Instagram, TikTok and other platforms.
- • Strong visual storytelling, photography and video production skills.
- • Excellent community management and influencer partnership experience.
- • Ability to analyse performance data and optimise content strategy.
- • Up‑to‑date knowledge of beauty trends and platform algorithms.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Own and manage content calendar across Instagram, TikTok and other platforms.
- • Plan and shoot in‑store content including photos, reels, stories and UGC‑style videos.
- • Engage the community by responding to comments, DMs and building genuine audience relationships.
- • Identify and onboard UGC creators and micro‑influencers for brand collaborations.
- • Track and report weekly on content performance metrics such as reach, engagement, saves and conversions.
- • Support in‑store activations and events with live coverage and content capture.
- • Stay current on beauty trends, Kenyan social culture and platform algorithm changes.
