Job Description
The Assistant Chief Steward oversees stewarding operations, manages staff and inventory, and ensures high standards of hygiene and safety within Hotel Sapphire.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Certificate or Diploma in Food and Beverage Production or related field
- • Minimum 3 years experience in stewarding or a similar hospitality role
- • Knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations
- • Ability to lead a team and manage inventory
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Supervise daily stewarding activities, including cleaning of kitchen, dining areas and equipment
- • Manage inventory of linens, tableware and cleaning supplies
- • Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards
- • Train and coach stewarding staff on proper procedures
- • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to support smooth operations
- • Conduct inspections and maintain records of cleanliness
- • Handle waste management and recycling processes
