Job Description
The Assistant Housekeeper ensures that guest rooms, public areas and laundry facilities are consistently clean, well‑maintained and ready for use. You will supervise housekeeping staff, conduct inspections, manage linen and supplies, and coach team members on standards and safety. The role also involves preparing duty rosters and reporting any defects for prompt resolution.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • At least 3 years experience in hotel housekeeping, including supervising room attendants, public areas or laundry
- • Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough room inspections
- • Good communication and coaching skills
- • Ability to organize supplies and manage inventory efficiently
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Keep guest rooms, public areas and laundry facilities clean and ready for guests
- • Inspect arrival, stay‑over, VIP and departure rooms and release them to the front office on time
- • Maintain lobby, walkways, public toilets, pool and restaurant areas throughout the day
- • Control house and guest linen, laundry turnaround and staff uniform presentation
- • Report room and public‑area defects and follow up until resolved
- • Manage cleaning supplies, amenities and chemicals to required standards
- • Brief and coach room attendants and supervisors on hygiene, security and guest‑area protocols
- • Set duty rosters that match occupancy levels to maintain service standards
