Job Description
The Chief Accountant will oversee all accounting functions across two hotels, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cost control and robust internal controls. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, statutory compliance and supervising the accounting team. The role also involves inventory oversight, cost analysis and close collaboration with the executive chef and purchasing departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Proven experience in accounting, cost control and inventory management within the hotel or hospitality industry
- • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (mandatory)
- • Knowledge of eZee System or Burrp (mandatory)
- • Strong knowledge of hospitality accounting practices and financial controls
- • In‑depth understanding of COGS, stock management, purchasing and inventory reconciliation
- • Excellent numerical, analytical and financial reporting skills

Responsibilities
- • Oversee all accounting operations across both hotels
- • Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and management reports
- • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and statutory compliance
- • Conduct regular bank and digital‑payment platform reconciliations
- • Implement and maintain effective internal financial controls
- • Supervise and guide the accounting team
- • Coordinate with auditors and management during financial reviews and audits
- • Monitor daily Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) across F&B, housekeeping and maintenance operations
- • Prepare cost, consumption and variance reports
- • Verify purchase orders, receiving reports and supplier invoices
- • Ensure compliance with cost‑control procedures across both hotels
- • Collaborate with the Executive Chef, Inventory Controller and Purchasing team to maintain accurate cost structures and minimise wastage
- • Oversee stock levels across all departments and conduct regular stock counts
- • Ensure proper receiving, storage, issuing and stock‑rotation procedures
- • Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate discrepancies
- • Work closely with Cost Control and Purchasing to optimise inventory management and minimise losses
