Job Description
The Food Safety & Hygiene Officer will oversee the implementation of food safety systems across Java House outlets, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards and continuous improvement of product quality. The officer will conduct risk assessments, lead internal audits, train staff, and manage corrective actions to maintain safe food handling practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Science, Nutrition, Environmental Health or related field
- • Minimum 2 years experience in a QA or food safety role within an FMCG environment
- • Strong analytical and communication skills
- • Proactive attitude with up‑to‑date knowledge of food safety regulations
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Identify food safety risks and gaps in branch operations and recommend corrective actions
- • Implement and monitor food safety and hygiene measures to ensure safe food preparation
- • Conduct internal and external audits, micro‑testing of food, water and swabs
- • Deliver food safety training to handlers and ensure compliance with standards
- • Manage corrective and preventive action plans and follow‑up on implementation
- • Maintain calibration schedules for probe thermometers and other equipment
- • Prepare and submit audit reports and corrective action documentation
- • Reduce customer complaints by improving food safety processes
