Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that all plant equipment, utilities and facilities operate efficiently and safely. They perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. The role supports continuous production by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability. Strong mechanical knowledge and a proactive approach are key to success.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Perform periodic inspection, maintenance and testing of water pumps, generators and air compressors
- • Ensure availability, reliability and efficiency of plant equipment and utilities
- • Troubleshoot faults and carry out repairs to mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems safely and promptly
- • Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance schedules
- • Identify and execute maintenance efficiency initiatives to meet performance goals
- • Respond to technical issues affecting production and restore equipment to operational service
