Job Description
The Regional Coordinator leads the implementation of the Fred Hollows Foundation’s eye health programme across Kenya’s Coast Region. They manage a multidisciplinary team, coordinate with government and partners, and ensure delivery of project objectives and donor compliance. The position requires a bachelor’s degree and 5‑6 years of experience managing health programmes in an INGO setting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field.
- • At least 5–6 years of experience managing health programmes within an INGO context.
- • Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage donor‑funded projects.
- • Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership management skills.
- • Excellent written and oral communication abilities for technical material dissemination.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Lead planning, coordination, and delivery of the integrated eye health programme across Mombasa, Taita Taveta, Kilifi, and Kwale counties.
- • Collaborate with government agencies, private eye hospitals, and other stakeholders to improve eye‑care services and strengthen the workforce.
- • Oversee a multidisciplinary programme, finance, and operations team, managing resources, partnerships, and compliance with donor requirements.
- • Monitor regional team performance, ensure achievement of operational outcomes, and deliver multiyear partnership commitments.
- • Facilitate data‑informed decision‑making and enhance sector coordination for eye health as a priority.
