Job Description
The Senior Technologist I in the Physiology department will lead laboratory analyses, ensure equipment reliability, and support both teaching and research initiatives. They will supervise junior technologists, maintain quality standards, and manage inventory of reagents and supplies. The role contributes to the university’s scientific output by providing accurate data and technical expertise.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Physiology, Biomedical Science, or a related discipline
- • Minimum three years' experience in a physiological or biomedical laboratory setting
- • Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and data analysis software
- • Strong knowledge of safety and quality assurance protocols
- • Ability to train and supervise junior staff effectively
- • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities
- • Conduct physiological laboratory tests and analyses with high accuracy
- • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- • Supervise and mentor junior technologists and laboratory assistants
- • Collaborate with faculty on research projects and provide technical support
- • Manage inventory of reagents, consumables, and equipment supplies
- • Prepare detailed reports of test results and experimental data
- • Participate in continuous improvement of laboratory procedures and protocols
