Job Description
The Structured Cabling Installer will design, install and maintain structured cabling and fiber optic networks for corporate and data centre environments. The role requires a diploma in ICT and at least two years of hands‑on experience with cabling systems and optical transmission design.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma in Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT or a related field.
- • Minimum 5 years of experience in ICT and telecom.
- • At least 2 years of experience in structured cabling installation.
- • Minimum 2 years of experience designing and configuring optical transmission networks.
- • Relevant training in structured cabling or fiber‑optic installation is advantageous.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Install, test and certify structured copper and fiber cabling according to industry standards.
- • Design and configure optical transmission networks for client projects.
- • Perform site surveys, produce layout drawings and bill of materials.
- • Conduct troubleshooting and fault resolution for cabling infrastructure.
- • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain accurate project documentation.
- • Provide technical guidance and training to junior installation teams.
