Job Description
The Operations Supervisor in Mombasa will lead a team responsible for clearing and forwarding activities, ensuring efficient fleet management and compliance with operational standards. You will coordinate logistics planning with customers and suppliers, oversee documentation and invoice processing, and maintain high service quality. The role requires strong leadership, organizational abilities and experience in the automotive clearing sector.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or degree in Commerce or a related field
- • Minimum 3 years experience in clearing and forwarding, preferably in the automotive industry
- • Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- • Proficiency with computer applications and logistics software
- • Result‑oriented, team‑player with high integrity and problem‑solving skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Lead and manage the assigned operations team, acting as the main counterpart to Nairobi supervisors
- • Ensure standard operating processes are established and monitor compliance
- • Oversee transport fleet maintenance, allocations, licensing and utilization
- • Plan and coordinate efficient clearance and handling of customer orders
- • Monitor service quality and take corrective actions in consultation with management
- • Coordinate service delivery from approved suppliers and align logistics planning with customer requirements
- • Manage accurate documentation of customer files in physical and electronic systems
- • Process and verify invoices for approval, ensuring cost control
