Job Description
The Technical Sales & Field Service Technician installs, commissions, tests, and troubleshoots commercial equipment at client locations while providing expert technical support. The role combines strong sales acumen with hands‑on service to identify equipment needs, generate sales opportunities, and recommend upgrades or maintenance solutions. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills are essential for delivering value‑added service to a diverse customer base.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or vocational qualification in a relevant technical field.
- • Minimum 3 years of experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or technical support.
- • Strong sales and business development abilities to identify and pursue equipment sales opportunities.
- • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- • Ability to work independently in a field‑based environment.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Install, commission, test, and troubleshoot commercial equipment at customer sites.
- • Train customers on safe and correct operation of equipment.
- • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspect equipment for wear or potential failures.
- • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, replacing defective components as needed.
- • Troubleshoot refrigeration systems and cold rooms where applicable.
- • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide technical support on‑site.
