Job Description
The Transport Supervisor is responsible for safely operating electric forklifts and diesel generator sets, conducting routine inspections, and maintaining accurate equipment records. The role ensures compliance with safety procedures, monitors equipment performance, and supports financial record‑keeping for logistics operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Minimum KCSE or equivalent secondary education
- • Valid forklift operator certification/license
- • At least 3 years experience operating forklifts and/or generator sets
- • Strong commitment to workplace safety and equipment care
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Operate electric forklifts for loading, unloading, stacking, and material movement
- • Conduct daily forklift inspections and monitor battery condition and charging
- • Safely connect and disconnect forklift chargers according to procedures
- • Operate and monitor diesel generator sets, performing routine checks on fuel, oil, coolant, and voltage
- • Maintain accurate operating logs for forklifts, batteries, and generators
- • Report equipment faults, safety hazards, and abnormal conditions promptly
- • Keep the work area clean and adhere to all health and safety protocols
- • Prepare and maintain financial records related to equipment usage
