Job Description
The Unit Manager leads the Mombasa branch in selling insurance products, delivering after‑sales service, and driving regional market development. They are responsible for achieving revenue targets, recruiting and managing agents, and preparing regular performance reports. The role also involves building relationships with policy owners and the broader business community.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND or Diploma in a relevant field
- • Minimum 2 years experience in underwriting, sales or business development
- • Strong market awareness and understanding of insurance products
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- • Ability to recruit, train and manage agents
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Sell the company’s insurance products in line with product strategy and revenue targets
- • Provide after‑sales service for insurance contracts as needed
- • Implement the regional market development strategy
- • Achieve annual revenue, agent recruitment, and expense‑control objectives
- • Recruit, train, motivate, and supervise agents
- • Monitor agent performance and recommend improvements
- • Prepare and submit weekly unit production reports
- • Build and maintain relationships with policy owners and the business community
