Job Description
The Chief Accountant leads the finance function for the organization in Juba, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. Responsibilities include managing the accounting team, preparing statutory statements, and coordinating audits. The role requires a professional accounting qualification and extensive experience in financial management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in multinational settings.
- • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.
- • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

- • Supervise the accounting team and ensure accurate financial record‑keeping.
- • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulations.
- • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash‑flow projections.
- • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely implementation of recommendations.
- • Ensure compliance with tax laws and corporate governance standards.
