Job Description
The Accountant supports the finance function by processing transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and ensuring tax and audit compliance. They maintain accurate documentation, assist with internal controls, and handle vendor invoicing and payments. The role requires strong analytical abilities and proficiency with accounting software.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- • Minimum 5 years relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (desirable)
- • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and leadership abilities
- • Excellent teamwork, communication and stakeholder management skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Support the Head of Finance in timely and accurate submission of financial statements
- • Develop and implement standard financial operating procedures
- • Review and enhance internal controls covering financial, operational and compliance areas
- • Enter financial transactions into the accounting system in real time
- • Receive vendor invoices, enter bills and assist in preparation of vendor payments
- • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- • Ensure all supporting documentation, including tax‑compliant invoices, is filed correctly
- • Perform bank reconciliations and verify pricing details on sales orders
- • Assist with cash planning, statutory reporting and audit requirements
