Job Description
The Chartered Accountant will lead financial reporting and compliance for construction projects, providing strategic advice to senior management. Responsibilities include overseeing audits, managing intercompany transactions, developing cost‑control systems, and preparing budgets and forecasts. The role requires deep expertise in IFRS, taxation, and financial consolidation, as well as strong analytical and stakeholder‑management skills. The accountant will also drive process improvements and ensure the integrity of financial information across the organization.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Chartered Accountant (CA) certification such as ICAEW, ICAI, SAICA or equivalent
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- • Minimum 5 years of progressive post‑qualification experience, preferably in construction or a complex business environment
- • Strong knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or equivalent
- • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

- • Lead end‑to‑end financial reporting and ensure compliance with IFRS
- • Provide strategic financial advice to senior management on project and business performance
- • Oversee internal and external audit processes
- • Manage complex intercompany transactions and financial consolidations
- • Develop and implement project cost‑control systems and financial forecasting models
- • Review and approve project budgets, financial reports, and forecasts
- • Monitor project financial performance and identify financial risks
- • Advise management on corporate tax strategies and regulatory compliance
- • Ensure compliance with relevant financial and statutory requirements
- • Safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of financial information
- • Present financial performance and analysis to international stakeholders
- • Coordinate financial reporting with the group’s head office
