Job Description
The Accountant oversees the financial operations of Emerge Egress Consulting, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely reporting and compliance with tax regulations. Core duties include managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements and supporting budgeting processes. The role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred)
- • Minimum 2 years experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in consulting
- • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- • Strong understanding of Kenyan tax regulations and financial reporting standards
- • High level of accuracy, integrity and confidentiality
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Record and reconcile all financial transactions in the accounting system
- • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
- • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash flow monitoring
- • Process payroll, tax filings and ensure compliance with Kenyan tax laws
- • Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for the firm
- • Liaise with auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits
