Job Description

The Advocacy and Coordination Consultant supports the ACT Programme by facilitating communication among partners, aligning activities with the regional advocacy agenda and strengthening collaborative networks. The consultant coordinates follow‑up actions, documents progress and contributes to knowledge‑sharing to enhance the impact of advocacy initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) or higher (MBA/MSc/MA) in a relevant field.
  • • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in advocacy, coordination or consultancy roles.
  • • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience reporting on programme outcomes.
  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

  • • Facilitate regular coordination meetings among ACT partners and EVAWG stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of updates and resources.
  • • Align partner activities with the regional advocacy agenda and identify opportunities for joint action.
  • • Support the development and strengthening of partnerships with feminist movements, UN agencies, regional institutions and development partners.
  • • Coordinate follow‑up actions arising from meetings and monitor implementation progress.
  • • Document advocacy activities, produce monitoring reports and share knowledge across the network.
  • • Provide strategic input to improve the coherence and efficiency of advocacy initiatives.
