Job Description
The Advocate will provide transactional, conveyancing and commercial legal services to corporate and private clients, drafting and negotiating contracts, conducting due diligence and managing property transactions. The role requires strong legal drafting skills, thorough knowledge of Kenyan land and commercial law, and the ability to deliver high‑quality advice. The successful candidate will work from the Nairobi office and collaborate with senior partners.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in good standing
- • Minimum 2 years post‑admission experience
- • Valid practising certificate for 2026
- • Demonstrated experience in transactional, conveyancing or commercial matters with detailed examples
- • Strong contract drafting and review skills
- • Sound knowledge of Kenyan land, conveyancing, company and commercial law
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other transactional documentation
- • Conduct legal due diligence and prepare clear reports on findings and risks
- • Handle conveyancing matters, including property searches, transfers, charges, leases and related registrations
- • Advise clients on Kenyan land, company and commercial law and prepare legal opinions
- • Prepare and review transactional documentation for commercial transactions
- • Coordinate with clients and third parties to ensure timely completion of transactions
