Job Description
The Agricultural R&D Manager leads the country‑wide research and development program, driving the execution of agronomic trials, standardising research designs, and implementing FAIR data principles. The manager works closely with field teams and partners to generate evidence‑based recommendations that improve farmer productivity.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Master’s degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Plant Science or a related field
- • Minimum 5 years of experience leading agricultural research projects
- • Strong knowledge of experimental design, data management and statistical analysis
- • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder relationships
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Define and implement the national Ag‑R&D strategy and work plan
- • Design, coordinate and oversee field trials across multiple sites
- • Standardise research protocols, data collection tools and analysis methods
- • Apply FAIR data principles to ensure data accessibility and reuse
- • Analyse trial results and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- • Mentor and supervise research staff and collaborate with external partners
