Job Description
The AI & Data Transformations Lead guides the strategic and technical direction of data and AI initiatives across the insurance group, ensuring robust, scalable platforms that support analytics, fraud detection, and regulatory reporting. The role leads business analysis, designs AI roadmaps, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to implement automated workflows. It also engages external partners and senior stakeholders to drive transformation across multiple countries.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- advanced degree (MBA, MSc, MA) or professional certification preferred.
- • Minimum 7 years of experience in AI, data transformation, or related analytics roles.
- • Proven track record leading large‑scale data platform projects and AI initiatives.
- • Strong understanding of the reinsurance domain and regulatory requirements is advantageous.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Lead business analysis across all departments to map current processes, identify pain points, design future‑state automated workflows, and drive implementation.
- • Develop and maintain the organization’s AI roadmap, including use‑case identification, feasibility analysis, and phased deployment.
- • Engage with external partners, brokers, and technology vendors to benchmark transformation initiatives against global best practices.
- • Design and operate secure, reliable, and scalable data platforms that support AAR Insurance Kenya Ltd operations and subsidiaries.
- • Enable claims analytics, fraud detection, regulatory reporting, actuarial analysis, and operational dashboards while ensuring data quality and compliance.
- • Collaborate with security, compliance, underwriting, claims, and operations teams to ensure data confidentiality, system reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- • Communicate AI and data transformation strategies to senior executives, regulators, auditors, and external partners.
- • Lead multi‑country initiatives and manage senior stakeholders in an agile, product‑aligned environment.
