Job Description
The AI Platform Engineer designs, builds and maintains scalable artificial‑intelligence infrastructure that supports the International Rescue Committee’s data‑driven humanitarian programmes. The role collaborates with data scientists and engineers to deliver robust models and ensure platform reliability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or related field
- • Minimum 3 years experience developing AI/ML solutions in production
- • Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch and cloud services (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- • Strong understanding of data engineering, APIs and containerisation
- • Ability to work in fast‑paced, mission‑driven environments

- • Develop and deploy machine‑learning models and APIs on cloud platforms
- • Design data pipelines for ingestion, processing and storage of humanitarian data
- • Optimize model performance and ensure scalability and security
- • Collaborate with data science, product and operations teams to integrate AI solutions
- • Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues and implement improvements
