Job Description
The Appliance Repair Technician services and repairs a range of appliances and small equipment, performing troubleshooting, adjustments, inspections, installations and maintenance to ensure safe and effective operation. The role also manages inventory, completes paperwork and communicates with customers regarding service status.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • High school diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- • Four to seven years of related appliance repair experience
- • Physical ability and technical skill to perform repair and maintenance tasks safely
- • Knowledge of safety, health and security procedures applicable to the work environment
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Diagnose and repair various appliances and small equipment, performing functional tests and adjustments
- • Conduct inspections, installations, preventive maintenance and corrective repairs
- • Load and unload equipment for transport to the repair shop as needed
- • Complete work orders, parts requisitions and inspection reports accurately
- • Maintain appropriate inventory of spare parts and supplies
- • Ensure compliance with all safety and health requirements in the work area
- • Communicate service status and technical information effectively with customers and team members
- • Perform additional duties as assigned, including assisting junior technicians
