Job Description

The Applications & Software Officer will manage enterprise applications and ERP systems to ensure continuous, efficient manufacturing operations. Duties involve monitoring performance, providing user support, and coordinating with development teams to customize solutions. The role also focuses on optimizing workflows and maintaining accurate documentation. Reporting to the IT manager, the officer contributes to operational stability across inventory, procurement, finance, and production.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • • 3–5 years of experience in software application management, preferably in manufacturing environments.
  • • Proficiency in managing ERP applications such as SAP or Oracle.
  • • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

  • • Install, configure, maintain, and administer enterprise applications, ERP systems, and operational software.
  • • Monitor application availability, performance, and functionality to minimize disruptions.
  • • Maintain application configurations, documentation, user access, and system records.
  • • Diagnose and resolve application incidents, providing timely technical support to users.
  • • Investigate recurring problems and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • • Support ERP and operational platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
  • • Collaborate with business and production teams to ensure applications support inventory, procurement, finance, quality, production, and supply‑chain processes.
  • • Identify opportunities to optimize applications and workflows for greater efficiency.
  • • Customize applications and develop solutions in partnership with development and infrastructure teams.
  • • Support integrations between ERP, operational applications, databases, and other IT or manufacturing systems.
  • • Use scripting and database technologies (e.g., Python, SQL) for automation, reporting, troubleshooting, and integration.
  • • Plan and implement application upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and system enhancements.
  • • Test application changes and integrations before deployment to reduce operational risk.
  • • Monitor performance, analyze system data, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and user experience.
  • • Provide technical guidance, develop user guides, and conduct training sessions for end‑users.
  • • Gather user feedback and translate operational requirements into system enhancements.
