Job Description
The Area Business Manager will lead sales, collections and distribution of Sun King solar products across Kenya, overseeing a network of Energy Officers. Responsibilities include hiring and training the field team, achieving sales targets, ensuring timely collections, and expanding the direct distribution network sustainably.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
- • Minimum three years experience in sales and distribution management.
- • Proven ability to build and lead high‑performing teams.
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Hire, train and retain a team of at least 40 Energy Officers.
- • Manage sales, collections and distribution operations for Sun King solar products in the assigned area.
- • Drive sales growth through the EasyBuy pay‑as‑you‑go model and monitor agent performance.
- • Ensure accurate and timely collection of payments from customers.
- • Oversee inventory and coordinate with procurement to maintain stock availability.
- • Conduct market analysis and report on sales pipeline, competitor activity and market trends.
- • Represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions.
- • Provide coaching and performance feedback to Energy Officers.
