Job Description
The Assistant Fund Accountant supports the fund accounting team by preparing quarterly and annual financial statements for pension schemes. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with IFRS and RBA regulations, handling tax calculations, and performing cash‑bank reconciliations. The role requires close interaction with clients to deliver accurate reporting. A degree in finance or accounting and two years of relevant experience are needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field
- • Minimum 2 years experience in fund accounting, audit or financial reporting
- • Knowledge of IFRS, RBA guidelines and tax compliance
- • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
- • Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities

Responsibilities
- • Prepare quarterly management and annual audited financial statements for pension funds
- • Ensure compliance with IFRS, RBA regulations and statutory reporting requirements
- • Calculate and process quarterly and annual income tax and RBA levies
- • Perform monthly cash‑book, bank and fund‑statement reconciliations
- • Analyse data from fund managers and custodians and produce accurate reports
