Job Description
The Assistant Internal Audit Manager supports the internal audit function by planning and executing risk‑based audits across hospital departments, evaluating controls and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role prepares audit reports, follows up on findings, and contributes to improving governance and risk management processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Accounting, Finance or related field
- • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA) preferred
- • Minimum 3 years experience in internal audit or related assurance function
- • Strong analytical, reporting and interpersonal skills
- • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Assist in developing the annual audit plan and risk‑based audit assignments
- • Conduct compliance and control audits across finance, operations and clinical functions
- • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls
- • Prepare detailed audit workpapers, findings and recommendations
- • Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely remediation
- • Communicate audit results to management and support governance reporting
- • Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies and tools
