Job Description
The Batch Processing Operator ensures accurate weighing, charging and handling of raw materials according to approved formulations while maintaining process parameters and safety standards. They monitor batch operations, record production data, and troubleshoot equipment to minimise waste and downtime. The role also upholds high standards of hygiene, SHE and housekeeping, and supports effective shift handovers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or vocational qualification in a relevant field
- • Minimum 2 years experience in batch processing or manufacturing operations
- • Ability to read and interpret batch cards, manufacturing procedures and equipment manuals
- • Basic understanding of chemical and process principles and equipment operation
- • Proficiency in computer applications for maintenance records and material requests
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Accurately weigh, charge and handle raw materials and additives per approved formulations
- • Monitor and maintain processing parameters to meet production and quality targets
- • Operate, start‑up, clean and perform basic checks on batch processing equipment
- • Record batch data, production reports and process documentation promptly
- • Identify and report any abnormalities or deviations to the supervisor
- • Conduct changeovers, troubleshooting and routine maintenance to minimise downtime
- • Uphold SHE, hygiene and 5S housekeeping standards throughout the shift
- • Ensure effective shift handovers and clear communication with team members
