Job Description
The Board of Directors member for Technology & Systems provides strategic oversight and governance for the organization’s ICT initiatives. Responsibilities include shaping long‑term plans, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and guiding senior leadership. The role also requires active participation in board meetings and committees to advance the nonprofit’s mission.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field
- • 2–5 years of experience in technology, systems, or related ICT roles
- • Demonstrated leadership and governance experience
- • Strong analytical and communication skills
- • Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a volunteer board
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Define long‑term and short‑term strategic plans for technology and systems
- • Approve annual budgets and provide fiscal oversight
- • Hire, evaluate, and support the performance of the Secretary General
- • Establish policies and strategies for effective organizational management
- • Guide and monitor the implementation of IT initiatives
- • Attend board and committee meetings, reviewing agendas and supporting documents
