Job Description
The Body Works Mechanic will repair and reshape damaged vehicle bodies, perform MIG welding and fitting, and diagnose body‑related issues. They will conduct inspections, maintain workshop tools and equipment, and ensure a safe, organized work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or vocational training in body works (Trade Test Grade I or higher)
- • Minimum two years’ experience in panel beating, MIG welding and fitting
- • Knowledge of Toyota Land Cruiser (safari models) and Alphard vehicles
- • Familiarity with gas and arc welding techniques
- spray‑painting knowledge is an advantage
- • Good communication skills and a flexible, problem‑solving attitude

Responsibilities
- • Repair, restore and reshape damaged vehicle bodies and panels to required quality standards
- • Perform MIG welding, gas and arc welding and fitting of body components
- • Diagnose vehicle body damage and recommend appropriate repair methods
- • Conduct inspections, monitor repair progress and document completed work
- • Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working condition
- • Uphold workshop safety standards and keep the workspace clean and organized
