Job Description
The Business and Human Rights Legal Advisor conducts investigative research on corporate human‑rights violations and provides legal counsel on potential criminal liability. The role also reviews reports, supports standard‑setting initiatives, and represents Amnesty with key stakeholders across regions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Law or a related field
- • Professional legal qualification or certificate
- • Experience in human‑rights or corporate accountability research
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Conduct investigative research into corporate human‑rights abuses
- • Provide legal advice on possible criminal offences and avenues for justice
- • Represent Amnesty International with corporate stakeholders and networks
- • Offer international human‑rights law expertise to the Secretariat and colleagues
- • Review and edit reports, amicus briefs, and press releases
- • Contribute to standard‑setting and litigation efforts related to business and human rights
- • Support the Business and Human Rights team’s collective initiatives
