Job Description
The Business Banker will serve SME clients by managing daily banking activities, identifying opportunities for additional credit facilities, and preparing comprehensive credit proposals. The role requires analysing financial statements, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with bank policies while delivering high‑quality customer service. Collaboration with product teams and senior management supports the growth of the bank’s portfolio.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • First‑degree in Business, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline
- • Five to seven years of experience in sales, customer service and business development within banking
- • Solid knowledge of credit principles, branch banking procedures and bank products
- • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adhere to regulatory standards

- • Identify cross‑selling opportunities and recommend suitable credit facilities
- • Analyse business and financial information to prepare credit applications
- • Conduct account opening, maintenance, and verification processes

- • Prepare and present credit recommendations to underwriting committees
