Job Description

The Business Development Manager will cultivate and manage relationships with consultants, architects, quantity surveyors and project owners in the construction and security sectors, ensuring early visibility of the company's electronic security solutions. By mapping project pipelines and representing the firm at industry events, the manager will generate qualified leads and provide market intelligence to senior management. The role also involves maintaining accurate CRM records, collaborating with presales and design teams for smooth handoffs, and meeting agreed sales development targets. Str

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
  • • Minimum 3–5 years of proven B2B business development or relationship management experience, preferably within construction, built environment, security or ICT‑related industries.
  • • Existing professional network among consultants, architects, quantity surveyors or project owners is highly desirable.
  • • Strong track record of relationship‑building and networking at a senior/professional level.
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • • Identify, build and maintain relationships with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, project owners, developers and security managers within the built‑environment ecosystem.
  • • Proactively map and track projects under construction or in the pipeline, engaging stakeholders early in the project lifecycle.
  • • Represent the company at industry events, professional forums, site visits and networking functions to enhance brand visibility.
  • • Position the client as a trusted partner for electronic security and safety systems to key influencers and decision‑makers.
  • • Generate and qualify leads, then hand them off to presales for quotation and to design for solution development.
  • • Maintain an up‑to‑date record of relationships, engagements and opportunities in the CRM.
  • • Feed market intelligence to management, including competitor activity, upcoming tenders, industry trends and pipeline movement.
  • • Collaborate with presales and design teams to ensure a smooth internal handoff once an opportunity is identified.
  • • Own delivery against mutually agreed sales and business development targets.
  • • Update the CRM periodically with relationship and opportunity status to support review meetings.
