Job Description
The Business Development Officer will drive partnership and funding opportunities for DE Africa, building long-term institutional collaborations and developing sector-specific value propositions. The role includes managing a pipeline of prospects, producing investment briefs, and supporting co-creation with funders. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential to achieve sustainment targets.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Social Development, Business Administration, or a related field
- • At least seven years of progressive experience in business development, resource mobilization, or investor relations
- • Proven experience in climate-focused initiatives and data-driven development solutions
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- French is an advantage
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Support rollout of DE Africa sustainment plan with stakeholders
- • Develop and manage a systematic pipeline of funding, programme, and partnership opportunities
- • Create and package DE Africa value propositions for data analytics and infrastructure services
- • Develop sector-specific propositions in agriculture, climate, water, land degradation, and health
- • Produce investment briefs, concept notes, and pitch materials for priority evidence domains
- • Position DE Africa in co-creation processes with funders and track sustainment targets
- • Report on progress against partnership and funding goals
