Job Description
The Business Development Officer will promote insurance products to corporate and individual clients, generate new business, and manage the sales pipeline. Responsibilities include preparing quotations, responding to tenders, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring timely collection of payments. Regular reporting on sales activities and market intelligence supports management decisions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant discipline
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts

- • Sell insurance products to corporate clients, direct clients and agents, meeting set sales targets
- • Source new business, prepare quotations with underwriting team, and respond to tenders
- • Build lasting client partnerships through regular visits and prompt query resolution
- • Follow up renewals to improve retention and ensure collection of outstanding payments
- • Share weekly sales reports, work plans and market intelligence with management
