Job Description
The Business Manager, Business Assurance – East Africa, leads growth and profitability for SGS’s Business Assurance services across the region. The role develops market entry strategies, builds high‑performing teams, and manages P&L responsibilities while ensuring compliance and quality standards. Strong regional market knowledge and executive leadership are essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline
- • 12–15 years of progressive commercial and business leadership experience
- • Proven track record in market development and P&L management
- • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills
- • Fluency in English
- additional regional languages are a plus

Responsibilities
- • Own revenue, margin, and market development targets for Business Assurance in East Africa
- • Develop and implement regional growth plans and go‑to‑market strategies
- • Build and lead high‑performing teams across multiple countries
- • Manage P&L, pricing, and financial performance of the business unit
- • Strengthen relationships with key clients, government agencies, and development partners
- • Drive operational excellence, quality compliance, and risk management
- • Represent SGS in senior stakeholder engagements and negotiate major contracts
- • Monitor market trends and adapt strategies to capture new opportunities
