Job Description
The Business Partner – People and Culture will serve as a strategic HR advisor to school leadership at Makini High School, aligning talent initiatives with educational objectives. Responsibilities include workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, and culture development to foster a high‑performing environment. The role works remotely to support the school’s HR functions across Nairobi.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (BA/BSc/HND)
- • MBA, MSc or professional HR certification preferred
- • Proven experience in HR business partnering or talent acquisition
- • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills

Responsibilities
- • Partner with school leaders to align people strategies with educational and business goals
- • Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management initiatives
- • Lead recruitment efforts, develop sourcing strategies, and ensure fair, inclusive hiring practices
- • Coordinate onboarding processes and support new employee integration
- • Provide guidance on employee‑relations matters, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution in line with Kenyan labour law
- • Analyse people data and trends to identify risks and recommend improvement actions
