Job Description
The cake decorator creates customized cake designs and decorations according to client specifications, preparing various icings and writing decorative messages. The role includes managing inventory of baking supplies, maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to food‑safety standards. Candidates must have at least two years of experience and be able to work flexible hours.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • KCSE certificate or equivalent
- • Minimum 2 years experience as a cake decorator
- • Ability to stand for extended periods and work on weekends or holidays
- • Strong time‑management and communication skills
- • Residence in or near Lavington, Nairobi
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications
- • Prepare and apply various icings, buttercream, whipped cream and fillings
- • Write decorative messages on cakes with precision
- • Manage inventory of baking and decorating supplies
- • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment after each shift
