Job Description
The Camera Person captures high‑quality video for live broadcasts and TV productions, working closely with producers, presenters and editors to deliver compelling visual storytelling. The role involves operating and maintaining camera equipment, adjusting lighting and sound, and ensuring smooth production flow on‑site and in‑studio.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma in Journalism, Media or a related field
- • Proven experience as a camera operator in media production
- • Strong eye for detail, composition and framing
- • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Set up, operate, and pack away cameras for studio shows, live broadcasts and on‑location events
- • Adjust lighting and sound to achieve optimal picture and audio quality
- • Maintain and troubleshoot camera equipment, lenses and rigs
- • Collaborate with producers and editors to plan shots and recording sequences
- • Direct studio and on‑location productions when required
- • Suggest creative angles and compositions to enhance storytelling
- • Ensure compliance with filming permissions and legal standards
- • Keep studio and prop areas organized and submit daily equipment reports
