Job Description
The Camera & Studio Transmission Trainee will receive practical training in setting up, operating and maintaining broadcast equipment for radio and television productions. The role supports live and recorded productions, ensuring high‑quality audio‑visual output while developing technical expertise in a media environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Media Production, Communications or a related field
- • Strong interest in broadcast technology and willingness to learn
- • Good attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
- • Basic computer literacy and teamwork skills
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Assist in setting up cameras, tripods, lighting, monitors and other studio equipment
- • Support camera operations during live broadcasts, studio productions and outside broadcasts
- • Operate and monitor studio and transmission equipment to maintain reliable audio‑video signals
- • Monitor picture and sound quality and report technical issues to senior staff
- • Adjust camera settings, lighting and sound levels under guidance
- • Help record, label, store and retrieve programme content
- • Prepare video, audio and graphics for production use
