Job Description
Based in Nairobi, the Carbon Finance Senior Officer will lead the implementation of Kenya’s Article 6 Readiness Project, coordinating carbon finance activities across government and private stakeholders. The role involves developing project work plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with international climate finance standards. The officer will also prepare reports, support policy analysis, and represent the institute in relevant forums.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in environmental economics, finance, climate policy, or a related field
- • Proven experience in carbon finance, climate projects, or related international programs
- • Strong analytical and report‑writing skills
- • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities
- • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
