Job Description
The Cardiology Clinical Officer provides comprehensive cardiac care, including patient assessment, diagnostics, and treatment under the supervision of senior physicians. Performs routine and emergency cardiac procedures, manages follow‑up, and contributes to the hospital’s cardiology services. Ensures adherence to clinical protocols and maintains accurate patient records.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery
- • Higher National Diploma in Cardiology or related field
- • Registration with the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya (COC)
- • Valid practicing license
- • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a hospital environment
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Conduct patient history taking and physical examinations for cardiac cases
- • Perform basic cardiac investigations such as ECG, echocardiography, and stress tests
- • Assist in minor cardiac procedures and provide post‑procedure care
- • Develop and implement patient management plans in collaboration with cardiologists
- • Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and follow‑up notes accurately
- • Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications
