Job Description
The Ceph Storage Engineer designs, deploys and maintains scalable Ceph storage clusters to support the company’s infrastructure services. Responsibilities include configuring storage nodes, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues and ensuring data reliability. Works closely with system administrators to integrate storage solutions with cloud and on‑premise environments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
- • Minimum 2 years experience with Ceph or other distributed storage systems
- • Strong Linux system administration skills
- • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
- • Understanding of networking, virtualization and cloud platforms

- • Design and architect Ceph storage clusters based on business requirements
- • Install, configure and commission Ceph nodes and services
- • Monitor cluster health, performance and capacity, performing tuning as needed
- • Troubleshoot and resolve storage‑related incidents and failures
- • Implement backup, replication and data protection strategies
- • Document configurations, procedures and best practices
