Job Description
The Chief Accountant oversees cash flow, taxation and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Kenyan regulations while driving process improvements within the finance function.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND in Accounting or a related field, or a professional accounting certificate
- • CPA‑K certification preferred
- • Minimum 4 years experience in finance and accounting, including cash‑flow management, tax compliance and IFRS reporting
- • Strong knowledge of Odoo ERP, internal controls and audit coordination
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Plan and monitor cash flow, receivables, payables and inventory controls in Odoo to achieve budget alignment and cost‑allocation accuracy
- • Manage Kenya tax obligations, prepare and submit returns, coordinate audits and stay updated on tax legislation
- • Direct day‑to‑day accounting, lead statutory audits, enforce accounting policies and oversee inventory with monthly stock‑takes
- • Maintain Odoo data integrity and lead automation initiatives to improve efficiency
