Job Description
The Chief Conservation Officer leads Ol Pejeta Conservancy's conservation strategy, overseeing biodiversity protection, habitat restoration and community‑based initiatives. The role manages anti‑poaching operations, wildlife health programs and integrates innovative technologies into conservation research. Strong leadership, analytical and stakeholder‑engagement skills are required to drive the conservancy's mission.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Master's degree in Conservation Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or related field (PhD preferred)
- • Minimum 12 years of conservation management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- • Proven track record in biodiversity protection, community‑based conservation and anti‑poaching
- • Specialized training in wildlife management or ecological research is desirable
