Job Description
The Civil Project Manager will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver large‑scale civil and infrastructure projects in Kenya, overseeing all phases from planning through completion. Responsibilities include schedule and budget management, procurement, contract administration, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards and local regulations. The role requires at least twelve years of progressive project management experience and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with professional registration preferred. The position is full‑time and based in Nairobi.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline
- • Minimum twelve years of progressive project management experience on large‑scale civil or infrastructure projects
- • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, and infrastructure professionals
- • In‑depth knowledge of all project lifecycle phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing
- • Demonstrated success in cost control, budget management, value engineering, and project scheduling
- • Proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
- • Strong experience in vendor management, procurement, contract negotiation, and administration
- • Thorough understanding of HSE standards and Kenyan regulatory requirements
- • Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder‑management, and interpersonal skills
- • Active registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) or an equivalent professional body

Responsibilities
- • Lead multidisciplinary civil project teams and manage complex construction portfolios
- • Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from planning through completion
- • Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables
- • Direct cost control, budget management, value engineering, and project forecasting
- • Manage procurement processes, contractors, vendors, and project contracts
- • Ensure civil designs and construction works meet technical specifications and quality standards
- • Manage variation claims, project finances, and contractual obligations
- • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required
- • Ensure civil engineering works comply with HSE standards and Kenyan regulations
- • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders
- • Provide regular project performance reports to senior management
