Job Description
The Civil & Structural Technician will support site surveys, layout, and preparation of foundations for solar installations, ensuring accurate measurements and compliance with engineering specifications. The role assists with excavation, grading, drainage and other civil works required for solar projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology or related field
- • Minimum 2 years experience in civil or structural works, preferably in renewable energy projects
- • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- • Good knowledge of surveying tools and construction safety practices
Required Skills
Responsibilities
- • Conduct site surveys and set‑out levels for foundations and equipment pads
- • Mark and stake locations for foundations, trenches and drainage systems
- • Perform excavation, grading, compaction and trenching activities
- • Assist in installing drainage, utility connections and structural supports
- • Verify that work complies with design drawings and safety standards
- • Maintain daily field logs and report progress to the project engineer
- • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
