Job Description
The Claims Vetting and Processing Officer ensures that provider invoices are accurate, compliant and paid within agreed timelines. The role involves cost management, negotiation with service providers and monitoring claim trends to support client retention. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for effective processing and reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • BA/BSc/HND or equivalent (e.g., Nursing, Health Sciences)
- • Minimum 1 year relevant experience

- • Vet and audit provider invoices for validity and policy compliance
- • Process approved invoices within agreed timelines
- • Manage costs by adhering to contracted rates and guidelines
- • Advise clients and service providers on claim exclusions and non‑payments
- • Monitor claim and provider trends and escalate issues as needed
- • Improve system processes for claims vetting and payment
- • Respond to payment queries from providers and members
- • Negotiate discounts with service providers and record savings
- • Participate in account reconciliation and sign‑off of allocated services
