Job Description
The Communications Officer creates compelling stories, social media content, newsletters and other communications to advance fundraising and donor engagement for Hatua. Working with the Development Coordinator, the officer supports donor outreach, sponsorship campaigns and annual reporting, enhancing the organization’s public visibility.
Qualifications & Requirements
- • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design or related field
- • 1–3 years relevant experience in communications, journalism or public relations
- • Strong storytelling and persuasive writing abilities
- • Proficiency in graphic design and visual content creation

- • Develop and produce stories, social media posts, images, newsletters and appeals that inspire action and support fundraising goals
- • Collaborate with the Development Coordinator to support donor outreach, individual sponsorship campaigns and annual reports
- • Strengthen relationships with existing partners and cultivate new supporters through effective communication
- • Increase public visibility of the organization through targeted communications across multiple channels
